Hype Sneaker let you know 1 style sneaker every day——Nike Air Force 1 Low '07 Virgil x MoMA
The Nike Air Force 1 Low '07 Virgil x MoMA is a collection of Nike Air Force 1 shoes created by Virgil Abloh in collaboration with MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) designed by Yoshio Taniguchi in Midtown Manhattan, New York City.
The triple black Air Force 1 with silver detailing first appeared at Art Basel Miami before being released to the public in very limited quantities through MoMA's own design store.
After Abloh posted old collaborations on his Instagram, media and social media users thought he was making fun of the hyped sneaker's re-release, although there doesn't seem to be any indication of that at the moment.
In fact, all signs point to a wider release for the sneaker, as this isn't the launch pattern Nike and Off-White™ have followed since their first "The Ten" collection in late 2017.
Abloh has previously confirmed that "The Ten" is over, turning his focus to contemporary silhouettes, original models or Nike's running category. It's also unusual for two brands to re-release sneakers two years after their original release.
More likely, Abloh is recalling and appreciating one of his best collaborations to date. Of course, with Abloh and Nike, you never really know what's what unless you lose a lottery or get an L on SNKRS. Please stay tuned for any updates.
