Jordan Brand has finally heard the voice of the public, and the rumored Air Jordan 1 High OG “Yellow Toe” is finally set to release in 2022.
That version will eventually be released three years after the sample pair that appeared on social media in 2019. When they hit, fans went wild. Its broken-backboard blocking and rare use of yellow are the perfect storm -- and it seems that in three long years, that desire hasn't died down an inch.
The upcoming retro model, first reported by zSneakerheadz, will come in three colorways of black, yellow and white in a classic "Black Toe" style colorblock display. Even more notably, the color won't be University Gold on the Shinedown sample, but Taxi Yellow, which has been part of the Jordan archives since the original Air Jordan 12 in 1996.
According to zSneakerheadz, we can expect to pick up a proper "yellow toe" Air Jordan 1 for $180 sometime in August 2022. Stay tuned to Hype Sneaker for more new release.
